Former Indian spinner Amit Mishra who played under the captaincy of Virat Kohli for a short period of time during 2015/17, has made an explosive statement that after getting fame and captaincy Virat’s behavior changed suddenly. Amit Mishra also claimed that Virat does
not have many friends in Indian cricket because of his chameleon personality. While explaining his relationship with Virat Kohli, Amit Mishra added that he had known him since Virat was 14 years old and was very respectful but after getting the captaincy suddenly his
personality changed.

Mishra stated that he respects Virat a lot as a cricketer, but he does not share the same equation with him as he used to. He also said that he has seen Virat change a lot, and they have almost stopped talking to each other. The Cheeku I knew and Virat Kohli the captain are poles apart from each other, Mishra added.

Mishra went on with his statement and compared Virat with the current Indian captain Rohit Sharma, and how Rohit hasn’t changed after getting fame and captaincy.

While talking about his relationship with the current Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Mishra stated that Rohit has not changed a bit after getting fame and captaincy, he added that him and Rohit still share the same friendly bond unlike Kohli. When I met Rohit for the first
time and when I met him during IPL, he is still the same he hasn’t changed even after winning the world cup, Mishra said.

It was Gambhir not Kohli who ended the feud not Kohli

Mishra also said that after a heating exchange of words between Gambhir and Kohli on the field during IPL 2023, that gave light to the rumors of rift between the duo, it was Gambhir who took the first step and resolved the differences between him and Kohli. Mishra said it
should have been Kohli to take the initiative and resolve the differences between the two rather than Gambhir. Gambhir went towards Kohli and asked ‘how are you, How’s your family? Gambhir showed his big heart at that time, he added.

Yuvraj Singh the two-time world cup winner had also said in an interview, how he and Virat were very good friends when Virat was young, but he doesn’t share the same bond with him anymore.
