Veteran Indian spinner Amit Mishra recently made headlines after he made a statement in a podcast, that Virat Kohli changed with Fame, power and captaincy. After his statement many recalled the same statement made by former World Cup winner cricketer Yuvraj Singh in November last year, where he stated that he was close friends with young Virat but not anymore.
While Virat Kohli’s evolution as a player and as a human being is the talk of the town, many cricketers have come in support of Kohli. Former Indian cricketer and 2007 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa had hailed Kohli’s Evolution both as a player and as a person. Robin stated that he has seen Virat evolve from a brash young Delhi boy to an evolved human being. The evolution of Virat has been quite tremendous, today he is practically reaping what he had sown 15 years ago, Robin added. Robin Uthappa also said that when he talked to a 19-year-old Kohli, he used to talk about himself or his conviction in himself, listening to which one might get mortified or think what this guy is talking about, but now after 10 years you be like okay now that makes sense.
Uthappa said that Kohli is still obsessed with working hard and striving for success, despite reaching the twilight of his career. Uthappa recalled an incident from last year where Virat, after giving an interview with his RCB teammates went straight to the gym for an hour-long workout before going back to his family. He doesn’t need to do all that but still he was hashing out in the gym.
Will Naveen-ul-Haq ever respect Kohli despite putting end to their fight? : Amit Mishra
Naveen and Kohli had a nasty exchange of words during IPL 2024, where they both started abusing each other in the match and the fight went on to become a social media war between fans.
However, Kohli and Naveen resolved everything and hugged each other in the 2023 ODI World Cup, to which Amit Mishra accused Kohli of crossing the line and said Naveen would never respect Kohli despite them ending the fight.
Now Naveen has reacted to his LSG teammate Amit Mishra’s Statement, Naveen said there is nothing personal. Virat was playing for his team, and I was representing mine. We all play to win games for our teams, some of us are close friends and some are just colleagues.
Virat Kohli’s RCB teammate Yash Dayal has also come in support of him where he posted a picture of him with Virat on social media with a caption, it’s an honor standing beside you, brother.
