Harry Brook, who is the captain of the England team for the ODI series against Australia, is one of the promising youngsters of this generation. Despite being only 25 years of age, he has amazed everyone by his performances in all the formats of the game. His recent performances in international level made him favourable for many IPL teams to pick him ahead of IPL auction 2025.
One of the teams that are likely to target Harry Brook in the IPL auction in 2025 is the Punjab Kings. Punjab Kings is always known to pick up power hitters in their squad, such as Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. After the retirement of Shikhar Dhawan, from all the formats of cricket, the franchise is also looking for a young new captain, and Harry Brook is a suitable candidate for the spot as he is also the standby captain for England in the ODI formats.
As the captain of RCB, Faf du Plessis, is on the verge of his career and nearing his retirement, the franchise is also keen to have a new long-term captain for the forthcoming seasons. RCB is also expected to go for him in the IPL 2025 auction.
The Gujarat Titans are also in search of a power hitter who could easily coordinate with anchors like Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. If they buy Harry Brook in the mega auction, he would be helpful in synchronizing with them.
Meanwhile, Harry Book has not replicated his international performances in IPL yet. After getting picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for 13.25 crore INR in season 2023. The young lad could only score 190 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 123.4, which saw a major dip in his price in IPL 2024, where he got bought by the Delhi Capitals at just a price of 4 crore INR. Eventually he opted out of 2024 to mourn the demise of his grandmother.
