Vidarbha Pro T20 League: In a nail-biting finish that left the crowd on its feet, Jitesh Sharma once again showed why he’s considered one of India’s finest domestic finishers. The NECO Master Blaster skipper smashed a last-ball six to script a stunning win over Bharat Rangers in the semi-final of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League 2025 on Friday.

Chasing a daunting 205, NECO Master Blaster pulled off a dramatic 6-wicket win, finishing at 206/4, and booked their spot in the final set for Sunday at 7:45 PM.

Captain Cool: Jitesh Sharma Delivers Under Pressure

Needing 5 runs off the final ball, Jitesh Sharma (46* off 22 balls) held his nerve and launched a monstrous six over long-on, triggering wild celebrations in the NECO dugout and among the fans.

His finishing act was a masterclass in temperament and power-hitting, featuring 6 sixes in his short yet match-winning cameo.

Key Contributions in the Chase

  • Vedant Dighade gave NECO a fiery start with a 21-ball 35

  • Adhyayan Daga played a stylish knock of 66 off 38 balls (5 fours, 4 sixes)

  • Aryan Meshram held the innings together with a steady 49 off 35 balls

The trio’s solid top-order batting laid the foundation for Jitesh’s fireworks at the end.

Bharat Rangers’ Big First Innings

Earlier, Bharat Rangers posted a mammoth 204/3 after being put into bat.

  • Captain Atharva Taide led from the front with an unbeaten 94 off 53 balls, hammering 7 fours and 6 sixes

  • Varun Bisht unleashed a stunning finish, smashing 50 off just 15 balls*, including 5 sixes

Despite regular wickets, Bharat Rangers maintained a brisk scoring rate, courtesy of aggressive stroke play.

NECO’s bowlers — Ananmay Jayaswal and R Sanjay — managed a couple of breakthroughs but were largely on the backfoot against the onslaught.
