improved. After being sidelined due to a right heel injury that
required surgery following his performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Shami resumed bowling in the nets recently, a crucial step towards his
return to competitive cricket. Although he missed the IPL 2024 and the

the supervision of the BCCI and hopes to make a comeback in the
upcoming series against Bangladesh in September.

being the resumption of bowling in the nets. After undergoing surgery
on his right heel in February, Shami had his stitches removed in
mid-March and has been focusing on regaining full fitness.

24 wickets and significantly contributing to India’s dominant campaign
. His injury and subsequent recovery period meant he missed several
important series, including the home series against Australia, IPL
2024, and the T20 World Cup .
