Mohammed Shami has recently resumed bowling in the nets, a significant
milestone in his recovery. He started with light bowling sessions to
test his heel and gradually increased the intensity as his condition
improved. After being sidelined due to a right heel injury that
required surgery following his performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Shami resumed bowling in the nets recently, a crucial step towards his
return to competitive cricket. Although he missed the IPL 2024 and the
T20 World Cup, he is diligently working to regain full fitness under
the supervision of the BCCI and hopes to make a comeback in the
upcoming series against Bangladesh in September.
