The excitement for the inaugural International Masters League (IML) reached new heights as cricketing legends gathered to unveil the tournament’s prestigious trophy at the Captains’ Day event, held at the DY Patil University campus.
The event featured some of the biggest names in cricket, with India’s Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar, Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, West Indies maestro Brian Lara, England’s World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan, Australia’s Shane Watson, and South Africa’s Jonty Rhodes (representing Jacques Kallis) taking center stage.
The IML promises to be a high-octane spectacle, bringing together some of the most celebrated cricketers of all time. The much-anticipated opening match will see India Masters take on Sri Lanka Masters at DY Patil Stadium on Saturday, February 22.

IML’s Grand Opening: Free Entry for Students & Senior Citizens
In a gesture of appreciation for fans, the IML announced free entry for students and senior citizens for the opening match on February 22.
- Students must present a valid ID card from their current college or university.
- Senior citizens must carry a government-issued senior citizen card.
- Entry will be denied without valid ID proof.
