RCB will be taking on MI this Thursday at the legendary Wankhade stadium, Mumbai. This ground has been a flat track which is very good for batting, teams chasing here have won the most number of matches, nearly 60%. Both teams are at bottom in the points table with only 1 win, both will be desperate to win this match to earn those important points.
MI has a brilliant top order in the presence of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav and Tilak Varma. We have seen a different Rohit Sharma after the 2023 World Cup, he used to take time in the beginning but now he has started hitting right from the start, he has not scored big runs yet but he is striking at 171 this season, same for Ishan Kishan he has also played small cameos but his strike rate is impressive. Tilak Varma has scored 127 runs so far with one fifty, he has been the backbone of MI batting line-up till now. SKY was missing out for the first few games but now he has made a comeback Vs DC where he failed to open his account, but he is a very capable batsman which he has shown in the previous years and at the international level.
On the other hand RCB has always been a quality batting side, but this season their top players except Virat, are not in touch. Virat has only performed till now for RCB, being the orange cap holder Kohli has leaded for the front, except of him RCB top order has failed till now, Faf Du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Rajat Patidar all of these have not scored any big runs till now, this has been the weak link for RCB this season as they have also preferred batsmen over bowlers in their team and this season except of Kohli no other batsman has performed well.
Overall MI has a better top order where all the batsman has scored collective runs and on the other hand except for Kohli no other batsman has scored runs.
