The Indian team is all set to face Bangladesh in the second T20I of the three-match T20I series, on October 9. The second T20I will be hosted by the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Usually, the pitch of the Arun Jaitley Stadium, is dry and offers a better edge to spinners by providing an additional turn to the spinners such as Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, and Varun Chakravarthy from India and Mahedi Hassan, Rakibul Hussan, and Rishad Hossain from Bangladesh. But the venue is unbiased for both batsmen and bowlers, as the boundaries of the stadium are very short, which allows batsmen to score boundaries with ease. Allowing hitters such as Abhishek Sharma and Surya Kumar to score deftly. The length of the boundaries in Arun Jaitley Stadium is about 65 meters on both sides and 68 meters of straight boundaries.

The venue has hosted seven T20I matches. Out of which, three have been won by the team batting first. The highest score at the venue is 212, which was scored by the Indian team while chasing the target against South Africa in the T-20 series in 2022. The average score at this venue is 159 runs.

After clinching a one sided victory against Bangladesh in the first T20I by seven wickets in just 11.5 overs, the Indian team will be eying on winning the series in the second match itself. Also, all eyes will be on the pacer Mayank Yadav, who made his debut in the first T20I and bowled the first over of his career as a maiden and just allowed 21 runs to score in his spell of 4 overs along with his first international wicket. The playing 11 of India is expected to be the same as they would not like to change the winning combination at least until they seal the series.
