A new altercation emerged on the field today in the India vs Bangladesh first Test match Day 1. In between the overs of session 1, when Pant and Jaiswal were trying to rescue the innings, a brawl happened between wicket keepers of both the teams, Rishabh Pant and Liton Das in the 16th over of the first session.

Both Yashaswi and Pant were attempting to take a single in the 16th over of the game but later on cancelled it. While the batters were returning to their side of a crease, a throw attempted to the stumps eventually hit the pads of Rishabh, which deflected the ball to an area where there was no fielder, which allowed them to take a single. Meanwhile, Liton Das seemed unhappy with this decision of the Indian duo.

After taking the single and coming to his side, Rishabh pant asked Liton that why is his teammate aiming at him. While replying to Pant, Liton said that it is his job to make a throw and do his fielding well, Pant ended the conversation by saying that if he throws the ball at me, I will also take a double next time.

In the first session, Bangladesh totally outplayed the Indian Batting side as they sent Rohit Sharma and Virat kohli back to the pavilion at a score of 6 each, whereas Shubman Gill who came to bat at no.3 got dismissed for a duck. However Pant and Jaiswal succeeded in stabilizing the innings by building a 62 runs partnership.

Rishabh Pant came to bat when India was 3 down at a score of 34. Pant scored 39 of 52 balls and somehow steadied the innings of Indian team, but unfortunately threw his wicket through a loose shot and edged it behind to Liton Das on the delivery of Hasan Mahmood.
