CSK will take on SRH on Friday at the Rajiv Gandhi international stadium. The clash between CSK and SRH is also known as the South Indian Derby because both teams are from the southern part of the Indian subcontinent. Both the teams are coming from a loss in their previous matches and will be looking forward to winning those two important points and climb-up in the points table.
CSK has not been so famous for big hitters but this season they have Shivam Dube, Sameer Rizvi and the veteran MS Dhoni. Shivam Dube has not only smashed the bowl around the ground but also has scored big runs. He is striking over a 150 this season, MS Dhoni has batted just once this season but his strike rate has improved a lot from last year, in the previous edition his strike rate was 180 plus and this season where he has batted just once his strike rate was over 220. Sameer Rizvi is a fresh face this IPL, he doesn’t have any IPL record except of his 2 sixes in his first match against Rashid Khan, But he had an amazing domestic season where he smashed 18 sixes in 7 innings in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy.
SRH is a pack side with reputed hitters in the presences of Heinrich Klaasen, Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma. SRH has a batting which includes almost all hitters, Heinrich Klaasen has been a stand-out player for SRH this season, he is currently third on the orange cap list and is striking the bowl at a strike rate of 180 plus. Abhishek Sharma who is a decent performer for SRH smashed the fastest 50 for an SRH player this year in just 16 balls he is striking the bowl at a strike rate of 200, Aiden Markram is also a very destructive batsman at his best but till now he hasn’t performed as per his reputation. Marco Jansen is not a batsman but he is very handy with the bat, Travis Head also smashed the 2nd fastest 50 for SRH this season in just 18 bowls.
Overall SRH have a better side in terms of hitters as they have many
hitters from Travis Head in the power-play to Marco Jansen in the end.
