DC will take on MI this Sunday in the afternoon match at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. This Mumbai ground has seen to be a batting wicket where the bowl comes nicely to the bat however we witness swing in the power-play. Both the teams are at bottom in the points table and are very desperate to earn those two points and climb-up in the points table. MI is winless this season where-as DC have won only 1 match.

DC has a quality and experienced fast bowling unit in the lights of the veteran Ishant Sharma, Khalil Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar and Anrich Nortje. DC has good pace in Nortje he bowls up-to 150+ but is very expensive bowler  with an economy of over 10. Ishant Sharma and Khalil Ahmed have bowled well this season both the pacers have taken 9 wickets in combined with a economy of 8.5. We have seen Mukesh Kumar in a different role this season, he is an opening bowler but Pant has used him in the middle and slog overs his season and he has been impressive with 4 wickets in 2 matches. Jhye Richardson Australian fast bowler is yet to be featured in this season.

The home team MI also have quality in their bowling they have real pace in Gerald Coetzee and Jasprit Bumrah both the pacer are capable of bowling 140+, Bumrah has been a consistent performer for MI over the years this season he had taken 3 wickets in 3 matches with a economy of under 8. Coetzee has not been in his prime till now as he has picked up 3 wickets this season with an economy of over 11, Hardik Pandya has also looked fit and is bowling well in the power-plays. Akash Madhwal MI’s new find has been pick of the bowlers with taking 3 wickets in 1 match.

Overall DC has a better bowling line-up keeping the stats in mind, DC bowlers have been expensive but have also picked up wickets.

MI is inarguably one of the most successful teams in the IPL. They have won the IPL title five times. On the other side of the spectrum, lies the Delhi-based franchise, DC. Previously known as the Delhi Daredevils (DD), they managed to reach the knockout stages only four times in fourteen editions of the IPL. However, the head-to-head battle does not reflect this. The two teams have played each other 32 times in the IPL. Mumbai Indians have won 17 games and Delhi Capitals have won 15 times.
