GT will take on LSG this Sunday at Ekana cricket stadium, Lucknow. This Lucknow wicket is seen to be on the slower side which helps spinners and fast bowlers who are good at cutters. LSG is currently 4th and GT is 7th on the points-table, LSG is on a winning note while GT lost their last match against PBKS.
GT has decent fast bowling in the lights of Umesh Yadav and Azmatullah Omarzai in the power-play followed by Spencer Johnson and Mohit Sharma. Umesh Yadav has picked up 4 wickets in 4 matches but has been very expensive in economy with 11+, his power-play partner Azmatullah Omarzai have same numbers of wickets but has been a little better in economy with 9.38, Mohit Sharma has been the back-bone of GT bowling with 7 wickets in 4 matches with an economy of 8.19, Spencer Johnson has been also very decent performer, taken two wickets in two matches with an economy of 10.
Home team LSG have premium fast bowling in the lights of Mayank Yadav, Naveen Ul Haq, Mohsin Khan and Yash Thakur. The pacer battery and new fast bowling sensation Myank yadav who has bowled the fastest bowl of this season 155+ has impressed a lot, he has played only 2 matches and picked up 6 wickets with an amazing economy of 6.83, Naveen Ul Haq has also bowled decently this season with 4 wickets in 3 matches with a economy of 9, Mohsin Khan has not been up-to mark this season with only 3 wickets in 2 matches with a slightly high economy of 9.88, Yash Thakur has been the weak link in this LSG bowling line-up, taken just 1 wicket in 2 matches with an economy of 11+. New Zealand pacer Matt Henry is yet to play this season adding him in the squad will really improve the LSG fast bowling line-up.
Overall LSG has a better fast bowling line-up with some real pace
bowling and economical bowling.
