Punjab Kings head coach Trevor Bayliss set to leave the franchise

Punjab kings get another blow as their head coach Trevor Bayliss is
not going to continue with Punjab kings. His 2-year contract is up,
the franchise is not willing to continue with him. He took over as
head coach in September 2022, earlier the head coach was Anil Kumble.

Looking for Indian coach

According to reports Bayliss contract has come to an end and now
franchise is looking for an Indian coach and the right now the
frontrunner is Sanjay Bangar who is currently the director of Punjab
Kings and is most probably favorites to take head coach position
again. The franchise was scheduled to have the meeting on 22nd July
but meeting could not take place.

Trevor Baylis Career

Bayliss who’s age is 61 has a good international experience as well as
IPL experience with three different franchise-Kolkata Knight Riders,
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings and also has coaching experience
with England cricket team but still no official statement has been
made yet about his contract.

Punjab kings build up

After another disappointing season for Punjab Kings is now looking for
some important changes ahead of IPL season and some new player in mega
auction. Firstly, they want to end the contract of Bayliss as team did
not meet the expectations under him as they finished 8th and 9th place
respectively under his two years contract.
